local fraternity hate
by: WhyWhy does everyone hate on local fraternities like KOT and Phi Chi so much? Or even national ones who aren't the biggest partiers? Yeah parties are great and all, but what is it going to matter 30+ years from now? It seems to me that these non-partying fraternities are doing better things than MOST other fraternities on campus. The people who think the big party fraternities are the best don't understand what it means to be a true fraternity. I guarantee if you were to ask any fraternities national board they would not say partying is what defines their fraternity, yet on GR that's all anyone cares about. I think credit should be given to the groups who actually care about their university and their fraternities image.

I don't realm hate on KOT... They were here before everyone went national and just decided to stay local. They have good numbers and some pretty successful alumni. My only problem with them is that a lot of them are stuck up... And a lot of them are kinda soft.
Phi Chi just sucks... They started in the 80s after everyone had gone national so they don't have any real history at Baylor. Also, the guys who started it were KOT de-pledges. The guys are also super strange.

Don't know if anyone is really jealous of KOT... They do there own thing... Very Baylor involved. The only group I think who really has a problem with KOT is Kappa Sig...and that's usually because they compete for the same rushees and sororities.
No one really even thinks of Phi Chi
