Freshman Fraternity Rush
by: Baylor 26I’m gonna be starting my freshman year here at Baylor in the fall and I’m planning on rush. How should I reach out to different frats? What should I know about rush and what are the frats here like?

Official Rush events are held in the late Fall.
Good advice is to go around at the tailgates in the early Fall during football season and when the Fraternities put out tables around campus to meet them.
Lots of other events in the fall to meet the members.
Baylor fraternities are easy to make contact with and hang out with and unlike large state schools you don't have to make a decision in a few weeks...you have until the Spring semester.

Rush is pretty laid back and you have a lot of time to get to know guys in all the chapters - bids day isn’t until late January or early February. Just don’t be afraid to reach out to actives, go to tailgates, go to rush events, get lunch/dinner with actives and find the org that you vibe with the best.
