Sororities by category

For the incoming freshman: here’s my opinion on the pros and cons of each sorority. From a current sorority girl :)

If you’re looking for a sorority that parties:
- anything but chi o. Even in chi o, you’ll still find some girls who go out but they’re more secretive about it. Seriously, if you’re concerned that joining a certain sorority means you won’t be able to party, don’t worry. Unless you’re in adpi, you’ll have no problem getting invited to things.

If you’re looking for a sorority that’s super Christian:
- pi phi, chi o, and tri delt. You’ll find faith-minded girls in any sorority, but those three definitely have the reputation more so than others.

If you’re looking for a traditional “sorority experience”:
- kappa, pi phi, chi o, tri delt. These four are super involved and have a big presence on campus. I think aphi is also moving into this category as well.

If you’re looking for a chill sorority:
- theta, axo, adpi. These sororities are known for being more laid back. Theta and axo are liked by everybody!

If you’re looking for a friendly sorority/not a lot of drama:
- aphi, theta, axo, tri delt. Everybody likes these girls for the most part.

If you’re looking for a “cool” sorority:
- kappa, pi phi, zeta. They’re strong at Baylor and strong in Texas as well. Tend to do a lot of recruiting before rush actually starts. Some people dislike them because they can come across as snobby or unkind. Chi o is similar but much more “Jesus!!!” than the others. Some girls are nice but a lot give off fake Christian vibes.

If you’re looking for a more “girly” sorority:
- zeta, pi phi, aphi. Kappa too kind of. These just seem the most girly to me, as opposed to theta, axo, chi o, or tri delt. Those four are more “bruh girl”.

Basically I think 8 of the 9 sororities at Baylor are genuinely good and you will like them if you get a bid there. Good luck!
