status of legacies

Where are sororities at currently with giving preference to legacies? If you are a good candidate, does it help? Or, do you have the same chances as anyone else. I'm asking especially about AXO and Theta.

Don’t know about theta, but axo cut pretty heavily last year. They did seem to give some preference to legacies though. I know a girl who wouldn’t have gotten in but she got a bid since she was a legacy

i disagree! I dont recall many cuts from my frieds from axo, but I dont think legacies are ignored! good luck

Both these nationals have released new policies that legacies won’t receive preferential treatment so you’re not gonna get any real leg up but it still could be a positive imo

I understand that most of the NPC sororities decided(last year) that their legacies would not get special consideration.
