rushing sophomore year?

by:

I decided not to rush this year and regretted it almost immediately. I just wanted an opinion on rushing sophomore year?

it's pretty hard. this year it was a lot easier though. you're better off if you're a legacy, or if you know a lot of girls in a sorority and make a great impression on them (they have to WANT you in their sorority/think you're worth it... there's only so many sophomores each group can take). keep your grades up, make good friends, and only rush ONE group. other groups get mad if they hear a sophomore is rushing them and someone else, so both groups will cut you.

we only took 3 sophomores this year, and they were all girls EVERYONE knew and loved. it's extremely hard, but go for it anyway!
just don't get your hopes up and consider rushing again as a junior.

How about as a sophomore transfer. I will be there in the fall.

Bottom line just rush hard.... find the group you like and let them know you really want to join. Make friends with the girls. If you do that you will get in your sophomore year.

I completely agree with the above to hard core rush one group but if that group drops you and you still have ANY group left, I don't care if it is your last choice, you should stay. I say this because by the time you're a junior, you only get a year and a half where as your would still have two and a half fun years and grow to love the other sorority.
