MY OPINIONS ON EACH SORORITY

these are my opinions from my experience at Baylor. feel free to respond to this with your own opinion on any of the sororities if you have a different one. Im curious to hear from you guys as well!
A phi - honestly gonna be really REALLY good super soon. they are new but definitely working their way up really fast. it also helps that they’re nationally ranked pretty high. since this year we had the most girls rushing ever, a lot of amazing girls with great personalities went a phi. they haven’t really built a solid reputation yet, but they’ll get there eventually after being at Baylor for a while!
Axo - I don’t have many friends in here, so I don’t have much of an opinion. They do seem very close to each other and when I went through rush, they were all so funny and had great personalities. I’ve noticed a bunch of theatre people join axo and people with crazy (in a good way) personalities!
Adpi - alright alright... I know a lot of people talk crap about this sorority but the girls here I met are very kind. They seem like they don’t care about the sorority stereotype. They just want to make genuine friends. Definitely the place to go if you want to join a sorority without it being all preppy and girly.
chio - I feel like there’s a divide. there are some girls that are genuine, crazy, fun, and good energy, but there is a huge majority (that I know of) who are over the top and it seems like they try to one up each other on who can be the most popular. very much like high schoolers all trying to be the “it girl.” they have a cool instagram aesthetic but their girls seem superficial with a “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” mentality.
tridelts - the smarties but also fun girls. very philanthropic who care about others over themselves. there are some who are shy and some who are very outgoing yet they all seem to get along with each other and are very inclusive to girls outside of their own sorority. also have a lot of school spirit!
theta - these girls are probably the sweetest I’ve met. they don’t really have a reputation on campus but that’s probably because there’s nothing bad to say about them as a whole. also very smart girls with a lot of school spirit!
kappas - oh boy. I’m trying to not hate on any group this is just my opinion. every kappa I’ve met has been unkind. I don’t know what it is and I’m sure there are some nice kappas out there, I just unfortunately haven’t met them yet. known to be rich and there is a rumor that they dirty rush based off of your zip code....
pi phis - used to be considered a top house, but I’m not really sure why... they are typically known for being beautiful and it’s obviously not wrong but I don’t see them doing anything outstanding to be honest. not really philanthropic either, very selective, and just seem like an interesting group of girls. they seem kind of plain personality-wise but most of the upperclassman in their sorority look like Barbie dolls.
zeta - these are known to be the party girls at Baylor and they seem to willingly accept it. I honestly have met SO many amazing zetas. yes, many of them party hard, but there are many of them I know who are quality girls with kind hearts. definitely get to know them before you judge them.

I don’t know too many axo theatre people, but you’re right about their personalities! They seem to be a nicer, more studious zeta. This year (just from the people I know) they’ve seemed to switch their reputation over to more business/stem
Other than that, I 100% agree about a phi—with their newest pledge class, they’re quickly on the rise!

this is very accurate! I know a few good kappas, but yes, majority of them aren’t the kindest. to anyone considering rush... a VERY important word of advice I wish I listened to is to not go for a sorority based off of how “cool” the Instagram is. it looks tempting, I know, but at the end of the day, you want to be with the girls you clique with, cool Instagram or not. be sure to get to know girls from ALL sororities and not just the ones you want because of popularity. honestly, everyone at Baylor has a different idea of what the most popular sororities are. it’s always fluctuating so keep your options open and find people that make you feel at home. also, don’t suicide rush (just for one). It might end in extreme heartbreak! consider maybe four that you really like and then narrow them down when rush week occurs.

i agree with this for the most part
most a phis i’ve met are kind and they have a mix of girls but i’ve heard the sorority as a whole is pushing really hard to b a top house...not sure if that’s good or bad
i feel like axos are similar to zetas in the party scene but more lowkey? the girls seem pretty close this year
your description for adpi and chio are spot on
i had my doubts ab tridelts at first but every one i’ve met in this pc has ac been really cool and interesting. a lot of them give off the quieter vibes but i love their efforts w their
thetas are kinda just there? unproblematic but also don’t contribute much...sweet and smart girls tho
kappas...many have a big ego and hold themselves above others because of their kappa title but at the same time i’ve met a couple good ones who are the sweetest and couldn’t care less ab tiers.
pi phis are all super pretty and they’re known to b athletic and blonde but they’re kinda cliquey and have a superiority complex...same w zetas.
i’ve met a lot of sweet zetas but i’ve met a good number who are very arrogant and put others down to make themselves feel higher. also have heard them talk bad about each other multiple times...so sisterhood?

Here are my opinions over each sorority as a whole. Not everyone in the sorority fits this stereotype, but this is how I see them as a whole...
A phi — sweet & classy
Axo — crazy & fun
Adpi — genuine & independent
Chio — cult-y & christian
Tridelt — caring & kind
Theta — smart & selfless
Kappa — legacy & rich
Pi phi — beautiful & selective
Zeta — party girls & smart

With the newest pc, I’d actually switch zeta and axo’s descriptions! It looks like axo got a lot of the studious, fun girls while zeta got the crazy, fun ones.

Kappa and pi phi have lost even their “rich” and “beautify” stereotypes. Kappas new pc is small town upper middle class at best, and pi phi’s is...definitely something.

Tiana because adpi is hardworking and doesn’t care about beauty standards (it’s a good thing)
Jasmine as zeta mainly because of her cool outfit. Looks like something you could wear to a party & zetas like to party.
Mulan for axo because they call themselves real strong women and Milan is a strong woman unlike most other Disney princess.

Axo & a phi were actually pretty selective this year. Many people I know got cut from these two. Obviously they aren’t the most selective like some others but this is some serious improvement from previous years. I’ve also heard their sisterhoods this year are very close & like-minded. Luckily both of these are in the top 10 of nationally ranked sororities so I can see them becoming big at Baylor pretty soon

Same with theta! They have really improved, and it shows with how selective they were!
All three seem to only be getting more and more selective, while the previous tops are letting more in. Next rush will definitely be interesting!

The people that think they are actually popular are only within their sororities. Nobody else thinks it. The reason why the ones later are more popular is because they tend to get the girls of more quality and substance. Less fake and doesn’t have to act a certain way or pretend to be nice. You can either learn it the easy way or learn it the hard way. Rush smart.

I can’t stress this enough—if someone is constantly telling you that they’re the best, they’re most likely the only ones who actually think that!! Rush smart ladies
Side note—I would take zeta off the second list. They’re well known for partying, but the majority that I’ve met this year have given off major mean vibes (which is sad because their previous PCs usually have a ton of genuinely fun, nice girls)

I don’t think many freshman perceive zeta as a top house going in...most of the girls I knew had that as one of their bottom houses bc of the bad party rep
