sigep

Hey,
I'm thinking of rushing this fall and I've heard SigEp is the big party frat at Baylor. Is that true? I'm transferring this spring and want a fraternity that doesn't care much about anything but partying. I've heard a lot of fraternities at Baylor do school-related stuff (dumb), but I don't really want to participate in any of that since most other public school fraternities keep their events away from anything related to the school they attend. What are the guys in SigEp like and are there any other fraternities that I would fit into?

I'd reccomend Sigep, Delt, SAE, and Phidelt if you're into parties but you should probably limit yourself to Sigep. You sound like a person that doesn't want to do anything other than get drunk on the reg, which is fine if that's your perogative. From experience, I can tell you that while Sigep parties and get drunk frequently, their parties don't compare to the other "party" fraternities-best parties this year were Phidelt, Ksig and Delt fwiw. Sigep is good if you just want to drink, hang out, and try hard to imitate SAE. They are a prime example of a drinking club and seem to be the best fit for you. I doubt you'll have a problem getting in after their 1 man pledge class.

Look man if you're looking for good info this is the wrong place. 90% of the posters on this site are Phi Delts and Pi Kaps looking to tear down other groups and rep themselves. Just go hang out with the fraternity you think you wanna rush, be it Sigep, Delt, etc. Really there are not that many bad groups at Baylor. TKE and Beta are about the only ones I would tell you to stay away from.... the rest are fine... just look around and the join the one you most fit in with.

sigep was decent when I was here... more of a party type group. I would say they had about 90 guys most seemed country/ranch frat types. They got kicked off for several years after having a large party during Sing and for hazing their pledge class. No idea what they like now.

What makes them a laughing stock if you don't mind me asking? I've met a couple of them and they seem like really cool guys. I'm also looking into the other fraternities you've mentioned as well so I guess I'll just have to see when I get there this upcoming semester
