rush for northerners

I'm from DC. Would that put me at a disadvantage during rush?

For top it's harder to get in if your not from Texas or from the south. However it is possible and is done by a good amount of peope every year. It's more of a disadvantage than anything else.

because you won't come in knowing as many people and you might not dress or act the same. that being said, you also might have a different view of what the "top" sororities are (i definitely did coming from california), so go where you fit in!

Middle tier is more open to northerners in general, but sometimes northeasterns are not as bad. If you were from the midwest it would be a different story.
