sophomore/junior sorority rush

I'm a sophomore and I was going to rush this year, but my friends have been telling me it's really hard and I should wait until next year when I am a junior. What is the difference between sophomore and junior rush, and why is it better as a junior?

sophomores count as 2 bids, juniors count as 0. most sororities only take a few sophomores, and they can basically take as many juniors as they want (although of course they'd rather have freshmen). still try as a sophomore though! just don't get your hopes too high, and know you can try again next year (and you'll have more experience!)
