You need a 2.75 to go through rush. If you have below a 3.2 don't expect a bid from tri delt, theta, or chi o. Pi phi and kappa care less about grades so if you're pretty and have social influence, be in one of those. Zeta is catching up in grades and you won't get in with below a 2.9. Alpha chi is trying to be more selective, I heard they raised gpa standards to 2.85, which weeds out the girls who are barely getting by a bit. ADPi, as good of a pc as they took, doesn't have very high standards when it comes to gpa. I heard of people with 2.6s getting in last year

I dont think thats true because no one was allowed to rush with anything below a 2.75 GPA for like EVERY sorority. Its Baylor's rule, so they have to follow it!

Adpi has a 3.0gpa requirement. you have to be at least 2.75 to rush so if you have that, youll get a bid, but youre on probation that first semester until you bring it up.

The BU Panhellenic website states the university has a 2.5 minimum GPA to participate in Rush but goes on to say that all 8 sororities require a minimum of 2.75. If a sorority selects a higher minimum requirement, they should clearly state what it is well before Rush. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Also, students who have disabilities such as dyslexia, etc. and work harder than most to achieve good grades may be successful in their own right. However, sororities could care less. Some think it's prestigious to set the highest bar. They would have missed out on some women who have gone on to be highly successful professionals in their chosen fields despite their 2.95.

i know for us we cut everyone under a 3.0, and we're not even considered one of the super GPA-oriented ones. it's a lot more important than you'd think

would it matter if you were close to a lot of the girls and they really liked you?

For tri delt, chi o, and theta, it won't matter how much they like you. It's an automatic cut

But if I've gone to sub dinners all semester and have girls in a sorority who really like me, will below a 3.0 be enough reason to cut me even if they like me??? What if I'm a legacy?

For the top 3 grades sororities, if you have below a 3.0 you won't get in. Period

The top 3 grade sororities are:
Delta Delta Delta (not for much longer)
Chi Omega
Kappa Alpha Theta

Zetas working hard, they're either 4th or 5th in grades

zeta cuts below 3.0, it's just an automatic thing and even if you're best friends with everyone, it doesn't matter. so work really hard this semester!

PLEASE ignore this awful website, it's designed to tear down our Greek life and not build us up. Although I don't personally know all of the requirements for each sorority, I would either ask a Gamma Chi or you can email Tam Dunn! Good luck with recruitment!

i'd agree with you in most cases, but this post is actually pretty accurate. don't drop out now because of grades! but it's gonna be hard for most of the sororities if you have less than a 3.0, just keep that in mind

This answer should be on the panhellenic webpage

Tri Delt has been known to have the highest academic standards, followed by Chi O. But honestly look where that rule got them. Chi O could be heading that way too if they get to strict. We'll see if Tri Delt makes any changes to its policy, or it could end up with another poor pledge class.

I know some girls with GPA below 2.9 that made it past day one in Chi O right now, so it doesn't seem like grades are that important.
