ladies rushing

When you rush, it is very rare for you to have your choice at your new home. The sororities are choosing who THEY want. "Mutual selection" is I'm sorry, non-existant. That being said, do not think that you can slack off in school, be wide open in parties, think that you can get by being a legacy or having a couple friends in a sorority. A couple of friends can only fight for you so hard before they lose interest, especially if you've only known them one semester.
Please be aware that all 8 sororities have so many wonderful girls in them and any girl would be lucky to find their home in one of them. So basically, stick to the cliche saying of "keep an open mind" in your head, especially during rush. I didn't think I would end up where I am AT ALL but I am so happy to have met the people I have and come to love.

I've seen a lot of tears shed during rush week because girls only "rushed" one sorority in the fall and then ended up being cut from all of them because they didn't keep an open mind.

So true!! You don't pick us, we pick you. But if you end up in a not top-tier sorority, work hard and make your sorority top tier.

1000 girls rushed, only 600 matched. Thats pretty simple math trying to figure out that you should probably not be limiting yourself to one sorority.

And don't think you're too good for any sorority. Because with that mentality, you won't end up anywhere
