rush advice

by: DiamondsOfThisADPi

I left my honest review on every sorority to counter some of the self-ranking and rude comments from other sororities.

My #1 advice tip for girls who are rushing, you'll hear this a thousand times, go in with an open mind.

Every sorority has bad stereotypes, even the top tiers. Rush is a mutual selection process that'll take you where you belong. If you click with the Kappas, go Kappa. If you click with the AXO's, go AXO. Saying I don't want to go to this sorority because it isn't popular or I don't want to go to this sorority because they're all snobby b i t c h e s is dumb, really dumb. The sororities pick you based on whether or not they think you'll fit in with them, you don't pick them. You don't want to be the girl that quits rush because she didn't get the house she wanted. Being in any sorority is better than being a GDI.

IGNORE THE STEREOTYPES. ACTUALLY MEET THE GIRLS. Go to SUB dinners. Go to events. Make friends.

Why did I choose ADPi? Because none of those girls made me feel like I was judged. I felt like I could be myself and that was good enough. I didn't have to impress anyone. I could meet any random sister and after 10 minutes become instant friends with her. I'm not going to tell you ADPi is better, because a lot of people are going to have mean things to say to me. No matter what sorority you're in, people are going to have rude things to say, so screw them! Join whichever group makes you feel at home.

Good luck with Rush girls!

Very sweet. This site doesn't reflect the majority of Baylor, just the worst few.
