never rush at baylor

by:

I would never recommend rushing at Baylor sororities. It is obvious the rules favor ADPi so everyone has to go to them to help build up their chapter. If you suicide, it seems you get cut. If you're a sophomore or older, you get a limited number of spots. If you don't have a 3.2 or higher, you're cut from most houses. Do yourself a favor and make a lot of friends in the dorms or in class. This is a dumb way to pay $1000 to have 'sisterhood'. What a bunch of crap.

I sort of agree but that’s also bc I had a bad rush experience when I went through it :/ the whole process was very overwhelming

What happens is when a house that you ranked in your top list cuts you, if you are still on one of your lower ranked houses’ list, that house moves up in your list. It is designed to give you more opportunity to look at the houses that want you. It may not feel like an opportunity when you are going thru it as emotions are running high- but that is what it is. ADPi has been at Baylor for a very long time. It is an established house! Other chapters have closed, and ADPi is still going strong! You don’t want to be Greek- then don’t be! But stop w the negativity towards specific houses! And Baylor Panhellenic should want every house to succeed- bc if one house goes under - then the next one will be the next- you should want EVERY house to be strong!!

With the smart, involved, beautiful Baylor girls- there are plenty of potential Greek girls!

Face facts -- ADPi has not been strong for a long time and it appears they are getting preferential ranking to try to build back up. So what if they've been on campus a long time. Sometimes people are not getting their preference because of the rigged system. It's obvious houses that are struggling get to bend the rules to build back up at the expense of giving a PMN an opportunity they to fit into.

The system is better than it was years ago where houses where permitted to lead a pnm on the whole week and then cut a pnm leaving her no options. And girls were cross cut left and right.

Nope that’s not how it works. A girls preference does not matter if a house cut them. Plain and simple. I’m sorry that you want to bash ADPi so much Bc y’all have nothing better to do:/ hopefully you don’t have a Bible quote in your insta bio;)

GPA is the first cut line for many houses and most schools... nothing new or exclusive to Baylor about that.

umm... sounds like you went to one house for pref and got the house. Not exactly your 'first pick'. That would be your ONLY pick

Not to be mean but if a house really wanted you. You would be at the top of their list and get that house. You have to remember it’s a mutual selection process

It’s called RFM. Look it up.
You expect one house to have 400 girls?
Doesn’t work that way.

Hi! ADPi here:) the rules do NOT benefit us:) don’t be mad Bc you got cut from a house you wanted.

I’m sorry that one of our girls was mean...I can’t control that and I’m terribly sorry that happened, but if a house still wants the girl then it’ll be on her schedule if her other preferences cut her, ,,point blank periodt.

the process doesn’t benefit any house over the others. panhellenic sets numbers for cuts for each house based on statistics. a pnm may be invited back to a house even if she was on the release list if some girls the chapter prefers don’t return. stop being angry at the system or a chapter just because you got cut. tbh that attitude isn’t going to get you anywhere bc most chapters make a deliberate effort to support other panhellenic sororities and look for positive and genuine new members.

The process is the same at any school. Panhellenic designs it so that PNMs have more options. If you only tried to rush one or two houses that you thought you wanted and get cut you might miss out on another house that you would have liked. This way pnms are more likely to get bids
