dirty rushing

Everyone says that pi phi dirty rushes. What does that even mean? How can you dirty rush at a school when rush isn’t even until second semester.... all of the sororities take girls on rush dates

They promise girls houses to live in the next year. They give girls bids earlier than bid day. Etc.

They tell girls that will are guaranteed to get in. Sometimes they say they will be guaranteed to get in as long as they don’t rush anyone else. Many girls follow this rule and only rush them, and then pi phi cuts them anyways. It’s absolutely awful because the power that they think they have which results in girls getting cut from many or all houses makes them feel good about themselves. Pi phis can only be happy if they are tearing down others.
