pledging question

by: comingfromcali

Will being from out of state hurt my chances of getting a bid from a top tier sorority?

IF you're cute, smart and friendly, there shouldn't be any problem. Just attend the SUB dinners in the fall and get to know as many of the actives that you can.

Honestly it could be an advantage for you. Out-of-staters tend to have each other's back in Rush more than Texas kids from random towns.

Legacy at Baylor?

and even then legacy girls can get cut

It was stated in an earlier post that Texas girls do get preferencial treatment to pledge class slots. I feel that this summarizes your question the best

I'm from Texas and a Pi Phi legacy but my mom isn't a BU Pi Phi. Does that mean that I'll be behind BU legacies in order of importance?

you will absolutely be behind BU legacies in order of importance as far as legacies are concerned. if you want to be a pi phi i would definitely go to their sub dinners and meet as many girls as you can but also meet girls from different sororities because a buttload of pi phi legacies got cut this year

Being in Texas may help you with connections, but once you get on campus it's pretty even ground.
