regarding varied importance of gpa among fraternit

by: shoretoplease

For those of you that know about the particulars of grades for each of the Baylor fraternities, would you mind shining some light on the subject to this rushee? While current GPA rankings certainly correlate to the interest in academics for each fraternity, I'm curious to know which set of guys would likely prioritize it highest for PNM's. With a wealth of stupid threads like the one below me, I hope that this can further distinguish each of the different fraternities in a meaningful way.

Yeah phi chi would IF they were an actual frat. ATO, Beta, Tke are the toppers. Basically the weird, nice guys

I don't see TKE being top in grades, they are weird for sure but not the geeky and neerdy type that Beta and ATO is more common fore.

TKE is more kids that thought being emo was cool in high school, or were outcast, dress weird, cargo shorts, not the "cool kid type."

ATO along with Phi Chi pride themselves on being top in grades.
Most fraternities look for guys with over 3.0's or 2.75's for bids. (Depending on the fraternity)
But generally speaking most people in fraternities go to college to major in something other than partying and drinking.

some do care about good grades but a lot of time for example kappa sig is just hoping that their rushees make 2.5 so there able to rush that is why them and a couple others have terrible overall average gpasd
