in house and legacy

My mom was a Kappa here and my sister is currently a Theta. Does that mean that I get an automatic bid?

You're more likely to get into Theta because you're sister is going to pull for you, but just being a legacy isn't enough anymore. With so many girls rushing, tons of legacies got cut this past year. It might earn you an extra day or two of invites during rush week, but you need to make connections in the fall to get a bid

No, there aren't any automatic bids. If your sister is currently a Theta, then you're an in-house legacy and that almost always guarantees you a bid.

In-house legacies are at the TOP of each sorority's bid list. Get to know all of your sister's friends and you'll be fine. Go to sub dinners of other groups so that you aren't putting all of your hopes on them but I wouldn't worry too much.

It definitely helps your chances, but still rush and meet girls, because you might not fit in with the girls that your mom or your sister were friends with when they were here. Good luck!

You're probably have a better chance at Theta, but I'm sure Kappa will be interested too if you rush them!

rush both, but you're guaranteed a theta bid basically if you're sister's one.

In my opinion (I'm not either KKG or KAT) both of those are top tier groups, kappas are richer and thetas are more chill and real. Pick whichever one you like the most, but those two are definitely worth rushing.
