what i've learned
by: rush dropout
To girls who want to rush, I know people will tell you not to let what people post on this site affect your decisions on choosing a sorority--and you'll probably brush them off because you want to be in a "top" sorority, but I just want to let you know that you'll be so much HAPPIER if you join a group of girls that you'll genuinely enjoy spending time with. If that group happens to be sorority "XYZ" then great! If it's sorority "ABC" then awesome! I'm sharing this because I don't think anyone could've convinced me this when I was going through rush because I had my heart set on groups just for their letters. But now that I've seen how happy my roommate is with her sorority (she joined what is probably considered a "low" tier sorority, but they're AWESOME! they shouldn't be considered low)I really regret not continuing rush.
There are great girls in every chapter. There are also going to be rich girls, snobs, jesus freaks, book worms, party animals, and what have you in each chapter. I honestly believe that out of the 200+ amount of girls in each chapter that not everyone can possibly be the same. You may not like all of them, but I can guarantee that you will find your niche. It all works out in the end, cheesy I know but it does.

The day I got my bid, I was horrified because I had gotten to pref. day with my top sorority and another one. When I opened my card, I was shocked but I talked to a lot of friends and my mom and everyone told me the same thing- JUST TRY IT. So I tried it and I'm not a current member of the sorority I thought I would drop after a couple of weeks. I love this post because it really is so true. Rush next year, girl :)
