rushing as a sophmore
by: chxmpxngeHi there! I went to Baylor my freshman year didn't go through the recruitment processes as it was way to high stress for me and I would have been a mess during rush. I regret it so much and wish I would have just done it. I was wondering what it's like for sophomores going through rush this going season? Is it harder for sophomores, do sophomores get bids?

Hi!! Honestly, rush is very difficult for sophomores who do not have junior hours. Sophomores with sophomore hours count for two bids instead of one, so most sororities only take up about 5% sophomores of the pledge class! If you want to rush as a sophomore, try getting junior hours before rush during the summer (online, baylor, or transfer credit). If you can't do that, then you literally have to get to know everyone in the chapter. Go to all of the events, sub mixers, everything. It's all in at that point.
