Beta Theta Pi - ΒΘΠ Fraternity Ratings at BU

Just don't even bother. These a reason why these guys are here - they got rejected from every other frat on campus. "Beta Date-A Guy" is an accurate description of how they fail to interact with other sororities. I just don't see it

Hard to respect these guys. I mean its hard to respect anyone to much of a wuss to join a real fraternity and instead has to go out and start one up to make friends. They are bottom tier and probably will be for a long time. Most of the guys they rush are the kind that Join KOT, K-Sig, or ATO. By that I mean kind of younglife-ish, hipster, low parting, and big into service. That's fine and good but that means Beta is fourth in line....they will forever be left just taking the others scraps.

I rushed these guys this semester because I accidentally mixed up the dates for another frats Rush event and decided to stay. I was skeptical due to their rep, but genuinely they seem like a solid group of guys. I know that their rep on campus isn't that great, but for a group that is just coming back they seem to be carrying their weight well. They don't seem as uptight as the other frats I rushed, though I do half to admit that I haven't heard much around campus about their events.

No offense to them.......but they are just not a good fraternity. They take anyone that comes out to rush. They don't have good parties. None of the top sororities will hang out with them. And they don't get any respect from the other fraternities on campus. In general they are better than TKE, but only because TKE is dying and taking only like 5 kids a year. So Beta is better than TKE and that's it. In truth no decent freshman should be joining Beta...you can just plain do better.

Beta at Baylor is a joke because they rushed the rechartering process. They gave bids to anyone that would take them. Horrible mistake. Most of their members are awkward guys that wouldn't have even made the cut for ΒΥΧ. Their reputation is ruined because of that for now. They have no campus or party presence.

Very nice, respectful guys. Very involved on campus. However, element of desperation very much there. Offer bids to pretty much anyone. Most bids go to juniors/seniors. Even gave bid to a junior who'd been KICKED OUT OF ATO year prior. Parties are also small/weak. In short: nice guys who are active in community, but weak parties and desperation in Rush/Bid process

The only way they're considered to be "improving" is if you like little sissies. They are not anywhere close to ATO or the rest of the middle tier. Most guys seem off and strange. They are political and they do try. Maybe they'll be better than sigma chi whenever they come back.

Just saying... These guys are headed upwards, so watch out! They have some seriously amazing parties planned for the fall. They're only considered "bottom tier" because they're so new. Next ATO for sure.
