Rushing frat as sophomore?
by: SophOn Oxford campus and literally know nobody in frats. There’s a decent chance I’ll be on Atlanta campus spring semester and was wondering if I should try and rush this fall or wait until I get to know ppl if I’m on Atlanta campus in spring. Can u even rush in spring as a soph? Would it be better to just go thru process in fall? Lmk pros and cons. Appreciate it.

Wait for the Spring. You’ll get a feel for the houses during rush. Not a huge deal if you don’t know anyone yet but it may affect where you can get a bid.
Pledging is a serious time commitment. Your life will be a lot better if you’re on campus as a pledge. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Being a sophomore shouldn’t be an issue, but the time commitment may really catch you. Sophomore year is a lot of students hardest year, especially in the spring. If you want to rush in the fall while you’re still at Oxford you’ll definitely need a car, otherwise it just won’t be possible
