is it true that there are no sorority houses?

I'm transferring from a big school and I am at my sorority house all of the time. Is it true that there are no houses at BSU? Where do people hang out?

Yes, there are no sorority houses at Ball State. Most sororities have suites on campus where the sorority can have small gatherings, and a few have small houses instead, but nothing too fancy. Chapters can hang out in their suites/houses or reserve rooms across campus or just meet up for dinner or something!

Im in a fraternity here, and no they don't have houses. But please trust me, it's not a big deal like you would think! There are a lot of out-houses to go to and I think most of the girls have just as strong of a sisterhood as they would at bigger schools. I thought it would effect them, but you'd be surprised to see that it really doesn't matter and it shouldn't worry you

We don't have sorority houses but that honestly probably makes our sisterhood stronger. Sisters aren't forced to live together and spend time together. Instead, we choose to spend time with one another and that makes us stronger! Every sorority has a suite or a small house. And since most older girls have houses, people hang out there as well. Its a smaller campus so you'll run into sisters everywhere you go! You'd be surprised how easy it is to have a strong sisterhood without a house!

Not having houses honestly helps the sorority greek community be more of a community. You'll find houses of 5-6 girls who are all in different sororities, which is very unique for a collegiate experience. Don't let the lack of housing keep you from thinking we don't hang out all together or have fun events all together.

I can vouch for what people are saying here. You'd think it would be a burden on these girls but they're about as close as any other sisterhood I've seen on other campuses. I've seen the sisterhood girls have at bigger schools and I'm positive that it easily shows despite the fact they don't have a house, and they're about the same size too lol. Girls usually hang out at their suite or sometimes will have parties in the many houses that other girls live in, but mostly all parties are at the fraternities.
