Ball State University - BSU Greek Life Reviews

Very round social Greek life. Would be a lot better if sororities had houses tho. Great party scene

I love greek life at this school. Events are so much fun and everyone is very involved

this school would be a 10/10 if they had sorority houses and more frat houses

Ball State has been talking about sorority housing for decades and nothing has been done. They have done studies, talked to students, alumnae and others and still no action. I think one of the sororities in the suites should just go build a big house somewhere and be done with waiting on Ball State to do anything. The university really doesn't care about Greek Life to really do anything about the housing situation for sororities. All talk, no action. The town houses they are speaking of are barely big enough to house a pledge class. Kinda sucks for the women at BSU.

Ball State greek life is average in size but puts out a strong showing as the school's primary social scene. Greeks are much more involved and successful than the average Ball State student so joining an organization is a strong bet for your future because it builds a lot of opportunities outside of greek life. The Greek community is only partially housed but it doesn't affect the communities culture because some of the better fraternities are unhoused.

BSU Greek Life is getting better but it isn't super popular. Nothing like bigger schools (IU, Purdue) because sororities don't have housing yet and when they do get it, it will only be town houses. Not all frats have houses and some of the houses are too small to actually do anything in. Hopefully the future will be brighter for BSU Greek Life, but for now it is just average to say the least. OSL puts a stop to a lot of events/opportunities so that doesn't help either.
