omega phi alpha??

Omega Phi Alpha is a strictly service sorority, not a social sorority. That's why they are not on this list. Nevertheless, they are a great organization. If you're looking for more of a traditional sorority experience though, you should rush one of the social sororities.

Very kind, genuine girls who are accepting of everyone! No bids are required to join! Their main focus is serving the community, but they also have regular social events for their sisterhood.

They are not a Panhellenic sorority, meaning they do not recruit or run the same way. They are a “service sorority” which means they focus more on community service, whereas Panhellenic sororities do participate in service, but are more thought of as social groups. Ophia isn’t as exclusive, and is easier to get in.
I’ve heard that it can be a good experience for some, not so much for others as with any sorority. They do not associate heavily with any fraternities or other sororities on campus, and I’ve heard they’re pretty LGBTQ+ friendly!
