To my POC,LGBTQ, and other minority populations thinking about joining a Greek organization that is majority white: If you want to, please do. I will say this, never forget your voice. I know it's annoying to be the voice of all (insert group here), but without you many solutions can not be made because some have yet to discover there is even a problem. I know a large amount of people will be looking at this website as winter recruitment begins next year for some chapters. My advice is to research each chapter, vibe with people and trust your gut. Check out their national policies, alumna and how they interpret their values. If you decide a chapter is not for you, that's cool too. I just wanted to post this to let everyone in the EMU community know that they are seen and heard in Greek Life no matter the council.
