what to wear

by:

Hey I just wondered if anyone knew what we are expected to wear through rush week? I'm packing to go back to Duq and I'm not sure if there's anything specific I should bring.

For the first the first three nights think casual cute (jeans, cute top, cute but comfy shoes). For the third round, it's a little fancier (when I went through, I wore a skirt and blouse, but a more casual dress also works really well). For preference, definitely a nicer dress (not like high school homecoming but I would call it Christmas mass cute - most sororities wear black dresses and heels for this round)

Completely agree with the post above. You will be meeting all the sororities the first two nights and the conversations can be long. So definitely where shoes you are comfortable in. But be sure to dress casually cute. These two nights are often the most nerve wracking. So keep in mind that even though you are trying to impress all the sororities, THEY are trying to impress YOU too. Every sorority wants to be the most sought after sorority, so you should not feel pressure to dress in a way you wouldn't normally dress. So whatever you think is casual and cute is what you should wear the first two days.

For preference, be careful not to wear black. As stated, every sorority will pretty much be in black. And you kind of want to stand out. I mean don't wear like rainbow and gemstones (unless thats what you're into), but maybe aim for a different color. If not though, no one is going to judge you for wearing black!
