sophomore in recruitment

by:

Is it bad to be a sophomore and do formal recruitment? My schedule was too full for fall recruitment but I’m afraid that I won’t be a high priority being a sophomore and not a freshman...

No problem at all with being a sophomore and going through recruitment. Honestly, it’s probably better for you to go through formal in the spring than having a low chance of getting into about half of the sororities that take just a few people in the fall.

I think it’s easier to go through as a sophomore. As a freshman, you likely know a lot of other girls going through and are likely to talk about the sororitys, which can sway your experience one way or another. In the end, it’s best to choose what is good for you and not based on what sorority your friends want. I think it’s a better experience overall as a sophomore because you can focus on yourself more and what you want!
