rushing as a junior
by: romanheartDo people join sororities as juniors? Do you not want third years? Is it weird to rush then?

I think it’s entire up to how you portray your dedication to the organization. The hesistation behind taking juniors is that the organizations will invest a lot of time into that new member and they’ll be gone in a year. However, I’ve seen juniors who are stellar members and make the most out of their short time. If you are considering it, I would look into the sororities doing fall recruitment since it will be less competitive and you can get an extra semester out of your experience. Don’t let your age hold you back, if you emphasize your interest in being in a sorority and dedication to the organization (and maintain that once you join) you shouldn’t have an issue!
