Sig Tau Fraternitiy of the Year. They've totally regressed without Grant
G PhiB loses Risk...what?
DST grows 800% sorry but 1-8 whoopdee doo
Gamma Phi same for male recruitment
TKE empty handed? What?

There's no reason 5 of the 8 sororities and 4 of the 9 fraternities should have left without anything. Time for CSI to re-evaluate these awards and the criteria for them. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this year's awards were ridiculous

You must have went to a grade school where everyone got a participation ribbon.

there are more organizations than just Greek Life. BSU, ISO, and the black sorority all won awards. If you think this is a competition between just Greek Life then there is your problem. Not everyone gets a pat on the back. Especially for things you should already be doing.

This year was bad. It really felt like they were afraid to give organizations two awards. Perhaps 5 star shouldn't be the primary grade for the awards in Greek life. Half the fraternities and half the sororities had over 1000 points. Awards being decided based on bonus points kind of seems odd. In some sense it comes off as a sympathy comepetion for who has improved the most.

For example one big selling point was Sig Tau going from a 2.88 to a 3.04, which is awesome. But then you look at TKE who got a 3.24 but get no love for already being towards the top. It's just confusing and I'm not in TKE.

It seems more and more it's a popularity contest and it's coming off rigged.

DZ, AOII, and SAE all got more than one award. They weren't afraid to give out more than one. Just only some deserved it.

Looks like someone is bitter they didn't get an award?

...you were up against a bunch of different organizations, inside and outside of Greek Life. Not everyone gets a participation trophy.

And it's not about going by who has the highest, it's all about improvement. For example, TKEs GPA was great, but Sig Tau had a clear improvement and probably talked about their tactics in 5star. Maybe TKE didn't? Maybe they just naturally attract smart people where as Sig Tau had to implement plans and so they were recognized for their plans. Idk... CSI is the only people who do.

DST deserved the recruitment award. Yeah they aren't at a 100some like the Panhellenic sororities but they don't have the opportunity that formal recruitment gives us. They increased their membership all on their own. They didn't have their Nationals paying for all their crap. It was just them.

Not sure what GPHIBs risk was. But it was clear in her speech that Phi Kap took a new approach. Who else was creative enough to go to a play and then have the director come in and talk about it?

Sucks if you didn't win something. But maybe take that and try to improve???... talk to the office and ask what you need to do to win those awards. Be creative like Phi Kap and stop doing the same things everyone else does. Or just write a really kick ass 5star with a bunch of bonus stuff.

Stop whining.

Your participation trophy was the collaborative event. There. Everyone got something. You can go, now.
