Greek Life has brought me such amazing opportunities and my awesome sisters. Can't ask for much more than that!

So sad my time is coming to an end. Greek Life has meant so much to me and truly impacted my college experience in the best way. My advice is to stop listening to the rumors and encouraging rumors! Instead enjoy time with your brothers/sisters. And branch out and make friends in other Greek organizations. Thank you so much Greek Life!

Though not a massive Greek Life body compared to other schools, GL is expanding across campus! Even without Greek houses, there are plenty of opportunities to socialize with organizations in off campus houses while also enjoying the wings you get to share with your sisters or brothers. Duquesne is a pretty average school in terms of looks, but there are so many beautiful women and hot guys in GL. Obviously DU Greek Life has more girls considering Duquesne has more girls than boys in general. Contradictory to popular belief, hazing isn't that big of an issue. Yes, an incident or two pops up every once in awhile. But it's less of the crazy stories in the news like drinking until you pass out or swallowing a gold fish and instead more like a scavenger hunt or introducing yourself to the most amount of Greek students. Recruitment isn't as harsh as we make it out to seem too. Most women are placed in a sorority. Most exceptions are due to GPA or if a freshman doesn't get their #1 they just give up trying.

I've definitely enjoyed Greek life here at Duquesne. It's all about what you put into it. Though I highly recommend holding positions, you can get just as much out of an organization simply by being in it and participating things that YOU love. So many things to get involved in. Very happy to have been a part of Greek life 😊

i believe there's there different Greek experiences 1) Get involved, kiss some butt, get trophy rewards 2) Get involved, love the things you do, find personal awards 3) Join group, do nothing, get nothing The people in category one can make Greek Life seem like it sucks more than group 3. To get the best experience go for experience 2. Don't let those in Group 1 make you feel inferior. The Group 3 people you won't interact with anyways.

I was told that in 2007, there were 700+ greek students in the community. This year there were over 1,200+. That's an increase of 43% which includes a new NPC sorority and more diversity with our NPHC partners. That's an exponentially larger growth than the growth we've seen in undergraduate enrollment; so the Greek life community must be doing something right cause the numbers on our campus show support for greek life being a good thing. And thought on campus housing isn't super appealing, it has a lot of pros, which include the fact that all greek charters with housing have been remodeled within the past 6 years, financially renovations paid for by university money. All in all, we have it pretty made here in the Bluff.

Greek Life is one of the best decisions to make. And Duquesne's Greek Life is amazing! Each organizations has raised thousands for their philanthropies and everyone is sure to attend each other. Greek Life also is sure to attend athletic events, DPC events, and other student organization events. We work to impact not only the Duquesne community but all around Pittsburgh through our many service events!

We are a small school so naturally GL is gonna be smaller than other schools. BUT sorority life is super popular, and the frats are coming off a BIG recruitment year. In contrast to the other commenters, the GLO stays open much later than any other office because Rebecca, Amy, and the GA are very dedicated. The worst thing about GL is if you join the wrong group. Some srats and frats are the best experience of your life. But some of them are so pathetic they'll go on this site and just leave mean comments on other pages or on Rebecca because they think it'll make them look cool. Trust the system, but watch out for snakes 🐍🐍� �
