Duquesne University - DU Greek Life Reviews

If you want to be involved on campus and have a social life Greek life definitely gives more opportunities, but that’s not to say you can’t have fun without it. Spring recruitment is terrible for girls, really destructive to self esteem, but more than half the girls find a home they’re happy with.

It’s fun

Greek life includes a majority of the population on campus, depending on where you go you’ll find your fit within one of the fraternities or sororities with time!

This horrible school is full of rich locals that are mean to anyone outside of their clique. terrible food, terrible housing, terrible people.

Duquesne has grown in population significantly but Greek life has not changed. Frats take whoever and they all seem to find their place. Sororities are incredibly limited and take their members based on who they already know and party with. Unfair rushing, and some still haze despite how hard they deny it (aphi & dz mostly). The limited space and preferential bids have made every sorority into a high school clique. Disgusting to be a part of, but you won’t have a social life at duquesne without it. Do NOT recommend duquesne to anyone.

If you aren’t a part of Greek life you will be MISERABLE at this school. Do NOT go here unless you intend on joining.

Things are getting rough at Duquesne.

The “elite” (leaders) of Greek Life will paint the picture that it’s absolutely perfect and amazing. The realist will say it’s generally good but has room to work. Others will say it ruined their life. On any given day Duquesne Greek life can fit into any of these categories.
