Will having a low GPA hurt me in rush? I got above a 2.5 but took some really challenging classes first semester so it could definitely be better,

Take easier classes next semester, there's a pretty good chance your GPA will take a hit for pledging. The easier the classes, the better.

They won't care what your gpa is during rush as long as it's above 2.5 (unless you rush a super nerdy frat)
