what are the reputations of each sorority?
by: froshgirlI'm confused about the reputations of each sorority on campus. Beyond the Key 3 (which I don't think I want to be in) what are the different sororities like? I know I'm supposed to wait until rush, but just a general idea would be nice going in!

I "ranked" these in the way I'd guess most people think about these sororities on campus/based socially on who they mix with. The order within the tier doesn't really matter. Also, I'm a boy in a mid-tier frat, so I'm obviously more well informed about the sororities we mix with the most and have the most friends in. I'm going to kind of gloss over the Key3.
TriDelt: WASPy girls from New York/LA,
Pi Phi: JAPpy girls from New York/LA, the "party girls" of the Key3
Kappa: trying REAL hard to be seen as "nice girls," but are the cattiest of the "Key3"
APhi: an alternative/very artsy group of girls, but tend to be a little social climby. If they were a drink, they'd be wine.
Theta: fun, well-rounded girls with a strong sisterhood - always down to turn up. Tends to be a lot of girls that tried to go key 3, making a few of the girls social climby, but not overwhelmingly. If they were a drink, they'd be tequila.
DG: "girl next door" type of girls, really close with each other. If they were a drink, they'd be beer.
Zeta: girls that are "weird" but in the fun, good way that makes them your one hilarious friend. If they were a drink, they would be rum.
ADPi: really nice girls, but would rather stay in with a movie and a glass of wine. If they were a drink, wine.
GPhiB: eclectic mix of girls since they are new on campus, hard to stereotype

My daughter is a freshman at Duke and is considering rushing in January. Can someone please update the posting from 2015 on the reputation of each sorority? I assume there have been some changes in the last 8 years. Any insight into the reputation / vibe of each sorority would be very helpful as my daughter explores options. Thanks.

Put Theta above Aphi but the descriptions are pretty accurate
