freshman stop using greekrank to attack people
by: Annoyed upperclassmanIf you have personal issues or serious allegations, greekrank is not the platform for it. It’s not to “inform the masses” because if you are spreading gossip then these terrible allegation can be ridiculously detrimental to people involved. If they are true then this is not the platform to handle it on. Stop being petty, stop airing out your grievances in a public forum such as this. If you need a list of resources at Duke to go to if you are having a serious issue I can post links to this thread, but at the end of the day everyone who goes to duke should be educated enough to understand why greekrank is an inappropriate place to be putting someone on blast for serious issues

It's inevitable that victims/ victim's friends/ concerned people are going to retaliate so posting a condescending warning to freshmen isn't going to do anything. What people should be warned of, is to not engage in immoral/ illegal behavior because I hate to break it to ya, but what goes around comes around whether it be on a platform like GR (which although it's not completely reliable, it does get the message out) or through more official means. Bottom line is be extremely careful what you do and stop talking down to freshmen because we do have power.
