ifc official statement regarding kappa alpha order

Good Afternoon Greek Life,

Last week, Duke's Interfraternity Council (IFC) was called and asked to do a party audit on Kappa Alpha Order's "KArnival" party. After a decrease in "top tier" quality parties, Duke IFC agreed to this request and was on scene last Saturday at Wheels Fun Park for this event.

This morning, The Interfraternity Council (IFC) met and discussed our results from Kappa Alpha Order's party. Our records indicate that Kappa Alpha Order has failed to throw a "top tier" caliber party in nearly three and a half years. As a result, Duke IFC unanimously voted to relegate KA to a "middle tier" status. With this distinction, Kappa Alpha Order will be placed with fraternities of more similar caliber, most notably Pi Kappa Alpha, Alpha Tau Omega, and Pi Kappa Phi.
