rush sucks

I'm a minority going through sorority rush and I almost had a breakdown today because I could barely find anyone that looked like me. I'm considering dropping out of rush because it seems so white and fake and I'm heartbroken that Duke is supposed to be a diverse school but some girl asked me "where are you really from" and I just didn't know how to respond? I was born in America?

This is so messed up. But sadly this is how SO MANY minorities feel during rush. Something needs to change

I think you mean you could barely find anyone that looks like you in the chapters you want to be in. Go to ChiO/ZTA/gphi/ADPi and you’ll find it’s plenty diverse. Guess you’ll have to decide if you want social status or a strong diverse sisterhood
