financial commitment for frats

by: Curious

I’m a sophomore considering rushing this year. What’s the financial commitment like for frats? I hear they offer financial aid but I can’t afford anything above about $100/sem.

If it matters, I don’t think I’ll join any low tier frats bc I’ve heard from friends in them that it’s not really worth it.

Not to be preachy, but you could spend your internship funds on the $9000 max it would cost you for your three years at a frat at Duke.

If you make 30 an hour in an internship you'd make 10k in 2 months. Given you'll get a job and stuff after that, you might as well spend that on the frat.

Of course you may have other financial situations I don't know of, but just a thought for you to experiment with.
