greek life is confusing. here’s a little explanation?

Still confused why sororitys and frats are ALWAYS bashing each other on here trying to one-up each other. No one cares if you are ranked 1st or 3rd. The same girls and guys all mix with each other and stay exclusive. Regardless if you’re in piphi/tridelt or dsig/adphi, kappa/aphi or ka/snu. These “top tier” groups (I say that with quotes because it’s what they claim) are all extremely exclusive and it baffles me watching from the outside that they secretly bash each other on here. When they are supposed to be friends in real life.

So tip to freshman: take everything on here with a grain of salt. While I will say you shouldn’t care about hierarchy, I will be real and say it exists. There’s top, middle, and lower.

Top solely mixes with top. Very rarely mixes with middle and never with lower.

Middle mixes with middle, tries to mix with top and not with lower but seldom succeeds.

Lower mixes with lower, very hard to mix with middle, and never with top.

I don’t need to sit and explain which sororities and fraternities are where. You’ll figure this out soon enough.

But just know don’t cross off one sorority or fraternity because it’s ranked lower on one post than another. Be open to all and be cogniscent of the “tiers”.
