slg's vs. greek life?
by: 2022I'm an incoming freshman and trying to figure out the difference between greek life and SLG's at Duke. How are they different? Someone told me SLG's are mixed gender but then what is the difference between Illyria and sororities?

SLGs are usually mixed but i wouldnt use that to distinguish between greek life and SLGs.
To me Frats are usually less laid back types of people you see in SLGS, more fun oriented sometimes more partying oriented.
a frat may be very socially conscious and climb the hierarchy where SLGs dont care and are more like a tight knit group.
there's a type of person that joins these...youll prob be able to tell at Duke.
