new sorority

They're probably going to be just taking some girls from all over next year. Not gonna affect the core four much, but you could see a bit of cross preffing from APhi, DG, Zeta, ADPi, and maybe even ChiO. But in all reality, I don't think they are going to be taking changing much of the greek scene in any manner.

This should be exciting. Gamma Phi Beta is the second best sorority in the nation according to the Huff post. I feel like since they will be new they can pick who they please without the pressure of having to fallow a stereotype. so for girls who arent looking for a place with a stereotype, and what to build something out of nothing, Gphi should be the place for them.

They will do well because they have no preconceived stereotype at Duke. Sororities are known to take certain types of girls and some girls drop out rather than go with a house with a reputation they're not comfortable with. Gamma Phi will likely pick up some of those girls, girls who are legacies to Gamma Phi, upperclassman girls who didn't ever pledge and have kind of regretted it, and girls who want a quick leadership position and a chance to mold a chapter. At least that's what I think.

But they are one of the oldest, strongest and largest sororities so that makes them a good addition here. One of my best friends is a Gamma Phi at Illinois and she loves it!
