Can someone give me an estimate of the price of fraternities a year. Do you pay for second semester freshman year? Which fraternities cost the most and how much? or are they roughly the same?

Not sure about others, but I know dsig, adphi, ka dues are all the same.

According to dukes website, $800-$1000 a year.

Dues $1000+ per semester. Yes you pay for freshman spring. Weekend trips like formal ~$500 each. There will be many additional trips you will be much more likely to be involved in if you're in a frat. I.e. Spring breaks ~$1500 each. It could be considered expensive, so if your dad doesn't believe in paying this much for you to party, you're gonna have to pretend you're spending his $ on a lot of textbooks.
