This roughly ~represents~ where people want to end up during rush, who is closest with/mixes most often with who, and the general tiers. Obviously no ranking is perfect and you should take the time to meet these people in real life.

Pfrosh here - Could someone please explain the difference between the "--" and the new lines used to divide Duke's student population into a caste system? Oh, and by student population, I mean greek-affiliated of course. I'm guessing GDI's must fall at least 3 "--", 2 "-------", and 5 new lines below that? Some sort of key would be useful so I can accurately gauge the differences between the imaginary tiers, sub-tiers, sub-groupings, and the listed organizations' respective pairings. Thanks!

Not after this year's PCs. In January this would've been true but things have changed. Not to say that Pike won't rally this coming rush though.

You're looking at a top, middle, and bottom tier situation here. Honestly forget about the imaginary tier system for a second and this is the reality: it's harder to go out and drink when you're a GDI. You can still have fun if you're a social person (especially if you're an attractive girl), but it's much harder. Especially at a school like Duke, where people who like to drink and socialize tend to self-select into Greek life.
