connections/advice for rushing

Hey y'all!

I'm a freshman guy and have been loving Duke so far. As someone looking to rush next semester, I'd really appreciate your experience and advice.

I didn't go out much during the first month (I had limited drinking experience in high school) but have since gotten out of my comfort zone and made my way to some parties. I've gotten to know a couple of really cool guys in a few houses, but I'm starting to realize how behind the 8-ball I am in terms of making connections/getting invites.

Given this, I was wondering how you guys would approach the next few months in order to make the best impression during spring rush. Also, how worried would you be about dirty rushing/PC's already being locked-in if you were in my position? Thank you for your help.
