theta vs aphi

Bored at my internship so let's give this a shot. These two sororities have been fighting for the top spot of upper middle tier sororities (which DG is also in the early stages of joining). Theta is more chill while APhi is more of a social climber. On the other hand, theta is more academic while APhi is more party hard. Both are pretty equal overall for looks and the other things sororities are judged on. Pledge class wise, theta has (in my opinion but this is obviously debated) a better rising senior and junior class. APhi though killed it with their newest pledge class while Theta kind of bombed it because of the messed up rush last year. This year will probably be the deciding year between which of these two sororities is better.

They are both great sororities as are most of the others at Duke. You will have a fun time with either if you click with the girls. Girls in both of last year's pledge classes are very happy with their houses.

APhi - A lot of girls who in past years would have gone Key Three ended up here. Very attractive group with a hipster vibe. Hot West Coast/Miami types and internationals. A few social climbers and a ton of chill girls who go really hard. Trending up.

Theta - Unique mix of girls, but definitely not as traditionally hot at APhi. Nice girls. Friendly. Some conservative Christian types, some into partying. Quite a few sophomores in their PC. Trending down.
