disassociation
by: HiI want to drop my sorority. What is the process? I heard you have to give all belongings with letters on them back
#3by: Maybe this helps...
You will likely fill out a formal resignation form that will be sent to your national office. For sure you will need to return your pin, I don't know about shirts and other things. If you have any outstanding financial obligations they will need to be taken care of or your organization could send you to a collection agency. Be sure to carefully consider this decision. Once you have resigned you will not have any of the benefits of sorority membership the rest of your life and you could regret your decision when you get older. You may move to an area of the country where you don't know anyone and getting involved as an alumni helps you make connections. I think you need to talk to your officers and see if there is something they/you can do to make your experience better.

Obliviously I plan on talking to officers. But I wanted to get an idea beforehand of what to expect. There's no need to be snarky as your comment was not helpful in any aspect.
