2016 spring rush questions
by: Guy
I am considering rushing a fraternity this spring and I have a few questions that I really need answers for.
1. Do you have to sign up for formal rush and if so where?
2. Is it harder to get a bid because they give out less bids?
3. What is the main difference between fall and spring rush?
Hopefully I can get some much needed feedback. I've been looking online and can't find any answers. Thanks.

There's no difference between fall and spring rush. You don't need to sign up, just show up to rush preview, and then go to the houses you like during actual rush. The rush classes are smaller because less guys rush during spring. Each fraternity looks to bid certain kinds of guys. If they get a lot of studs then they will have a bigger class, but if they don't then their class may be smaller. Rushing spring is easier than fall, but your pledge class will be smaller so you won't get to bond with as many guys. It's also easier to see who the weaklings are with a smaller class, so if you're a scrub you might get dropped.

Do all the fraternities participate in spring rush? and is it true that spring rush is mainly for people who already know someone in the fraternity?
