rushing a sorority as a junior
by: JuniorIs it worth it to rush as a junior? I am thinking about rushing at winterfest, I am a junior and will have at least another year and a half to two years at FSU. Will I even be considered or no?

keep in mind that you most likely will only get a bid in spring if you know girls in a sorority already. Spring is a very small rush, and only for certain houses that fell below quota. If you know some girls, then go for it! Just want to prepare you so you don't get your hopes too far up if it doesn't work out.

I just rushed this past Fall as a Junior and it did put me at a disadvantage when it comes down to it even if they like you better than the other girls they are most likely going to pick the person who will have 3 years of dues versus only 2. It also has been hard for me to bond with my PC since I am so much older. Spring rush is also very selective only a few chapters will do it but it doesn't hurt to try!

What exactly does a house know if they have met quota? I hear about girls dropping out of certain houses all the time so does that automatically mean they did not meet it or does a certain number have to drop?
