One of their brothers shot another brother through the wrist, and into a girls neck who died. I doubt the girls parents would be to excited to hear that they are back at FSU. FSU's ban on lxa is up in like 2017 I think. I highly doubt they will be back, and if they are, they will suck for a while just like all new frats.

Lambda Chi owns the house that ZBT is in and has historically been a great fraternity here. Before they were kicked off, they were the only one that could truly compete with pike. If they do come back, they'll do fine once they take their house back.

I'm a Pike and I pretty much agree with "nah" below. LXA was a great fraternity and once they get back in their house they'll be strong again.

Lambda Chi will be coming back fall 2018. Lambda Chi Nationals however, is not allowing them to take back their house. They worked out an agreement where ZBT will purchase the house when their lease is up fall 2018. LXA Nationals won't allow them back in the house after the tragedy that occurred several years back. Also since they would be brand new they would not be able to fill a house that could fit 100+ brothers and couldn't even afford it. They are planning on taking their money and potentially building on campus by knocking down some houses near AOPi ATO and Chi Phi and building a decent sized house, probably the size of Kappa Sig. I know this from my brother being a Lambda Chi here when they were kicked off and he's trying to help get their charter back on campus now

I just cant believe that. The local lambda chi alumni own that house. ZBT doesn't have the money to buy it. Youre talking $5 million or so. LXA nationals shouldn't hold that over them. What a hose job if that's true.

The house is only like $3million and ZBT has like 160-170 brothers now so paying for it in 2-3 years won't be a problem for them. Lambda chi won't be able to get a lot of people to join the fraternity at first so there's no way they could fill the house, which is why LXA nationals worked out their contract to just sell it to ZBT once their lease is up. You're saying ZBT can't afford it, how the hell will Lambda Chi fill a 100 person house to afford it?

Look, I'm not looking for a fight, and I have nothing against ZBT. Some people on this site are probably finance majors. It doesn't make sense that LXA would sell their house to a fraternity with nothing more than a membership large enough to make mortgage payments. I'm sure LXA owes money and would want cash up front. As far as LXA being successful coming back, they were successful for years and no freshmen remember what happened. Both Fiji and Beta colonized with 100 members I think. Look how fast ATO and Pike came right back with big numbers and housing. I'm not against ZBT; I just don't buy the sales story.

Neither Fiji nor beta colonized with 100 members, & neither of them have 100 members right now after 2-4 pledge classes. Fiji has tops 50-60 guys including this pledge class

It's in ZBT's lease that lambda chi has to sell the house to them at a fair market price before anyone else. If they can't get the money together for the down payment then it will go up for sale to other fraternities. I'm sure lambda chi would like to move back into that house, but that would be a PR disaster as previously stated.

as someone who works in the office of the man who owns the house, it is being sold to ZBT. The advisor plans on lxa being a small chapter, and wants them to never exceed 100 bros. that's why they are getting rid of it

Funny how people talk about stuff they don't know, Beta has 120+ members including pledges and fiji has 80+ including new members

That's really sad to hear about LXA. I guess you choose whether or not you want to compete and if they decide never to have more than 100 members at FSU they condemn themselves to mediocrity. That's not the LXA I remember. But its up to them.

I would be disappointed in this school if they allowed them back on campus so soon after that.
