dropping

by:

So I got a bid to sorority I thought I wanted, but I haven't really bonded with anyone in my PC or any older girls beside maybe 1 or 2 that I'm okay friends with. My friends that went into other chapters seem to love where they're at and do a lot more sisterhood activities and older girls seem to actually involve them, and have found a great group of friends. I know it all takes time, and I want to believe that it will get better, but I've been making an effort to get involved and go to meals and meet my PC, and it just isn't working still.

Can I re-rush after initiation, or is that it?
Is it weird to re-rush? Do girls hold it against you?
If I would possibly want to be in a house I preffed this year, will they pref me again, or will having not chosen them the first time have ruined my chances?
Any advice would help

i just rushed this year but my best friend has been in her sorority for a year already and she felt the same way the beginning of fall last year. She almost dropped but her big convinced her to stay and now she couldn't be happier. People connect differently and it could just take more time. Its a weird process and we're all trying to make new friends and get used to everything.

yes, give it time. So many feel let down or disconnected at first, but by end of semester, are so happy and they'd do anything for their sisters.

Give it time, but if you really still feel like it isn't for you you need to drop before initiation. Once you're initiated you can never join another pan sorority.
