rules?

by:

I got this from another school's GR page (my lil sister's school, actually 😄), & I thought it'd be an interesting convo.

"What are some of the "rules" different sororities have? Such as a type of clothing you cant wear, how you can look in public, when you can/can't wear letters, when you have to wear pin attire, etc?

I'm not trying to stir anything up -- I am genuinely curious. I only know the rules for my own house but I want to compare them to others! I think it will be fun to see the differences and similarities."

You tell us yours, then we'll post ours. Go ahead.

I agree with You first. I have no problem telling mine, it's really nothing much at all. But if you want to start a conversation about differences you need to list yours lol.

Sure, no prob.

1.) don't go upstairs in fraternity houses
2.) when wearing stitched letters in public, dress appropriately (so no Norts, no ripped denim, no sweatpants, etc)
3.) whilst wearing letters, conduct yourself in a manner that respects our letters -- like a classy young woman
4.) no drinking in letters!!! ever!!! (not even the spelled out version)

Just little things like that, nothing secret or major. 😸

We don't have 1,2 or 4. 4 is ok if you're over 21 and not wasted. Literally every girl wears their letters with nike shorts. The only thing we have is you wear nice clothes to chapter and my chapter specifically gives mild encouragement to wearing letters to the gym. Pretty much unless the girl looks like a hobo for weeks grooming while in letters isn't monitored.
